Shipping & Delivery

At Greenlove, we know that ordering rare and delicate plants online requires trust. We treat every plant like our own, packaging them with obsessive attention to detail so they arrive on your doorstep as happy and healthy as when they left our care.

🌿 Our Shipping Schedule

Because we are shipping live plants, our goal is to minimize the time they spend in a dark box.

  • Shipping Days: We strictly ship plant orders on Mondays and Tuesdays (and occasionally Wednesdays).
  • Why? This ensures your plant babies won’t get stuck in a courier depot over the weekend.
  • Cut-off Time: Orders placed after Tuesday 10:00 AM will be lovingly cared for and dispatched the following Monday.

(Note: If there is a public holiday or extreme weather events that could delay couriers or harm the plants, we may hold your order until it is safe to ship. We will always communicate this with you!)

🏡 Local Delivery (Personal Drop-off)

Whenever possible, we try our absolute best to personally deliver local orders ourselves. This completely eliminates courier risk and ensures your rare plants arrive in pristine condition. If our personal delivery run happens to be after 5:00 PM, we will always reach out to confirm this time works for you before heading your way.

💚 How We Pack Your Plants

We are incredibly proud of our packaging, and our customers frequently tell us it’s the safest they’ve ever seen!

  • Secure & Snug: Pots are taped and secured to keep soil exactly where it belongs.
  • Foliage Protection: Delicate leaves and vines are carefully wrapped to prevent bruising, snapping, or cold damage.
  • Weather Conscious: We adapt our packing methods based on the season to ensure your plant is insulated against NZ’s unpredictable weather.

🚚 Tracking Your Courier Order

Once your order has been packed and handed over to our courier partner, you will receive a dispatch email containing your tracking number.

We highly recommend keeping an eye on your tracking and making sure someone is home to bring the plant inside promptly. Please do not leave parcels sitting in direct sun or freezing temperatures on your porch.

⚠️ What if my plant arrives damaged?

While we package our plants to survive even the bumpiest courier rides, accidents occasionally happen.

If your plant arrives significantly damaged:

  1. Please take clear photos of the box, the packaging, and the damaged plant as soon as you open it.
  2. Email us.
  3. We will work with you immediately to arrange a replacement, store credit, or refund.

Please note: Minor cosmetic damage (like a single folded leaf or a tiny bit of spilled soil) can happen during transit and is not considered a defect. Live plants are perfectly imperfect!
